With a splash of bitter

So the New Orleans Food & Wine Festival is this weekend (as it is every year) but the hubby is working so no debauchery for the Dinks this year.  And it's probably the last year the seafood will be decent.  So my plans are to redecorate our guest room (including painting, sanding, etc.)   So instead of wine & etouffee, it'll be cold beer (hey, that's hard work!) and hot dogs.   Sucks more than Samantha Jones during Fleet Week.

Speaking of, I will at least try to redeem part of the weekend and see "Sex and the City 2."  I know it's a lame movie but sometimes you just need an excuse to drink a Manhattan.  Personally, I don't but some people do.  Can't wait to see how many cosmo hos' jump up during the movie and start singing "Single Ladies."  And yes, we will be openly mocking them.

Laziness...

As you can tell, the blogging isn't going well.  That's the problem with DINKS, we just too busy leading fabulous, wine-soaked, fun-filled lives, there's little time left for anything else.   Of course, another problem is that the initial plan was to blog when some great inspiration hit....guess we'd better start increasing the ginkoba  - or the chardonnay intake.   If that's possible without a trip to rehab.  So here's our pledge to do better....at the blog, not chardonnay-drinking.
